I listened to this review of the Oculus Quest in the car on the way home. I must say that I did not think a tetherless-6-degrees of freedom device at a reasonable price would come out so quickly (available early 2019). I'm glad we decided not to invest in a tethered headset last year.....
I've been impressed with the MR and AR apps that have been coming out lately, ever since Apple nudged the ecosystem along with their latest phones, but the way in which VR can transport the senses almost instantly is its X-factor. How these devices can be integrated into the learning environment is a topic of debate, but for now it's an area to keep abreast of since it's certainly not going to go away.
