A note from the Principal

Dear Parents,

It is a wonder how we fit in some many wonderful experiences in one week! I have so many highlights to share with you today. Firstly, the annual Fun Day event held last Saturday was a huge success. Our dedicated PTG did a superb job, and it was great to see so many happy students and parents spending the day with us.

Our Year 3 students have had a fantastic time on their residential trip to Pattaya. The venue and activities were excellent, and it's always wonderful to see our students learning and having fun outside of the classroom. I am delighted to have joined the Y3 and Y4 residential this year, and I will attend Y5 and Y6 next!

Also during the course of the week, our FS2, Y1, and Y2 students experienced a fantastic Sports Day. It was a fun-filled day with a variety of activities and our youngest students demonstrated great sportsmanship. Thanks to the PE team, our supporting staff and all the Parents who joined us.

Lastly, this weekend, I will be attending the Fobisia leadership conference. I am looking forward to learn from, and network with, other education professionals and bring back new insights to our school.

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend ahead!

Sarah McCormack

Wellbeing

Changes to PE changing!

From now on, if your child has PE they can come into school wearing their PE kit. They will also need their uniform and school shoes packed in a named bag to change into after PE. Many thanks!

Residential

We are half way through our Y3 Residential trips and it has been great to see the returning students and hear about their adventures. Please access the Resi blog to see updates and photos of your child's trip.

Inventors Day

Put Monday 27th March into your diary!

On this day, we are going to have 'Inventor's Day'. Year 3 students are invited to dress up as:

  • an inventor or
  • an invention

If they choose to dress up as an inventor, they could also make and bring in an example of their invention (e.g. a homemade calculator or homemade phone).

They will need to find out all about their invention:

  • who invented it?
  • why did they invent it?
  • where was it invented?

Timestableathon

Learning

This Term the childen will be learning about Inventions. This is a very exciting unit of learning revolving around the creativity of Rube Goldberg.  Please see the  curriculum pages here patana.fireflycloud.asia/year-3/year-3-curriculum/term-2-discovering-our-world

Birthdays

Happy Birthday next week goes to....

Nayu 3J
Everett 3A

Please ensure any snack or Birthday cakes/doughnuts that come into school are nut free. This is to ensure we are keeping all our students safe as we have some students in the Y3/4 Building who have severe nut allergies. Thank you for your help with this.
