We hope you have a relaxing break next week!

A note from the Principal

A huge congratulations this week to all the students who took part in our 3-day Choral Festival, with visiting artist Lin Marsh. We loved welcoming 15 other schools to Patana Primary for a showcase of music, signing, drama and art. With huge thanks to Lin and our Creative Arts team for organising such a special event!

Have a wonderful mid-term break and see you on Monday, 17 February!

Happy Lunar New Year!

A note from the Principal

There are some weeks in the Primary school that simply dazzle, and this has been one of them! In our Creative Arts building, the students have been showcasing their talents in Performance Week and on Friday, we all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the Lunar New Year and welcoming in the Year of The Snake.

The area of learning that I have been most impressed by is Science. Over recent years, we have been transforming how children see the world through atoms. In partnership with the Surfing Scientist Ruben Meerman, our newly devised science curriculum builds from Year 1, where students become "atomic architects," to Year 6, where they uncover the dance of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Along the way, they explore the big concepts of photosynthesis, nutrition, and the universe at an atomic level—ensuring they don’t just learn science but truly live it.

Amazing job Patana Primary!

Getting Arty with Antarctic animals!

A note from the Principal

This week, let us celebrate the power of curiosity and kindness, two of the guiding principles in the Primary school. Every question asked and every small act of care creates a ripple, shaping the community we love. On Thursday, I saw great curiosity and kindness at our newcomers coffee morning, organised so wonderfully by our dedicated PTG! Thank you to all those who attended.

Next Friday, we look forward to honouring the Lunar New Year with our families with our annual assembly and dress-up day!
