A note from the Principal

It has been another busy and brilliant week in Primary with the Year 4 Expo, Year 5 Bake Sale, Busking Day, and of course, Patana Primary – all signs that the end of term is just around the corner!

A quick reminder that End of Year Reports will go live next Tuesday.

Thank you to all the parents who have already completed our end-of-year survey. If you have not had a chance yet, the link is here – it will remain open until next Friday. We truly value your feedback.

Upcoming events and dates for your diary

Wellbeing

Class Lists

On Wednesday next week, you will be sent details of your child's new class, plus a welcome letter from their new teacher.

In the letter you will find some links to find out more about their new yeargroup and hear a welcome message from their new teacher.

Year 3 go up to Y4 in their existing class, so they will be going up with their friends. 

Some students might be worried about a change of teacher and classrooms.   Our teachers are very skilled at talking with children who are worried about their new class teachers and year group. If they have any worries please let us know as we are happy to help.

Fun Swim

As part of our end of year celebrations, Year Three will be having a ‘Splash Session’ in the EYFS pool.

3T, 3J, 3H, 3L, 3C and 3G will be on Wednesday

3D and 3M will be on Thursday

Please can you make sure your child brings the following to school:

• A swimsuit [doesn't have to be a Patana swimsuit]
• A long-sleeved rash shirt
  Flip-flops / crocs
• Towel

School Shoes

As part of their Patana school uniform, students wear plain black school shoes or sturdy trainers.

Shoes should be durable and support the whole foot.

All shoes require at least a strap to keep the shoe firmly in place.

Children can wear lace-up shoes if they can tie up their laces independently.

Plain black shoes can be sourced in many shops and department stores in Bangkok.

If your child has to wear other shoes for a specific reason, please let us know.

Returning Reading Books

We will start to collect in reading books on Wednesday. Please can you ensure all Y3 readers are returned. Thank you!

Y3 Curriculum Information

This term, we will be learning Mighty Metals. This theme runs through both Science and Literacy. If you would like to find out more please click on the picture above.
