Day 3 - Monday 19th February

Second day of skiing done! A few tired faces and aching legs this morning but all ready and raring to go.

Happy 12th Birthday to Mark! What better way to spend it than on a Japanese mountain with new friends. Mark had the whole of our ski gang sing happy birthday this evening, much to his enjoyment! They all had the pleasure of sharing his spectacular chocolate cake to celebrate.

\All students made it up the mountain on chair lifts or gondolas, even those who are only on their second ever day of skiing. Some students took to chair lifts easier than others, but as always there were fits of laughter to follow. Coco managed to drop a ski off her own foot...the liftie skillfully having to reattach it back to her foot, mid air!

Dan Dan combined some impromptu skiing and gymnastics skills on the slopes resulting in a mini somersault... Skis landing upright in the snow. I am not sure he would be able to replicate this again. Dan Dan also got a shout out for his passionate contributions to this evenings entertainment.

Ollie and Alice have had nominations from their groups for the rapid progress they are making. The upper beginner groups are already cruising down red runs at pace!

Students enjoyed hot chocolate on the piste in their break time this afternoon. This signifies the end of the milder weather that we have experienced so far. Wind and snow is on its way and students will hopefully experience the powder that Japan is notorious for.

This evening was jam packed with quizzes and team challenges. Students competed against each other in musical chairs, guess the songs, ice challenges and much more. Once again, it is so brilliant to see the older and younger students working together and building new friendships.

Night skiing and sledging is on the cards tomorrow and students have gone to bed already excited about this!

Day 3 - Completed!
