In March, our incredible Year 6 students took to the school field in a spirited sponsored run to raise funds and awareness for A21, a global organisation working to end human trafficking. The event was the culmination of discussions in class about fairness, justice, and making a positive difference in the world—and our students were eager to turn their learning into action.
With trainers on and determination in their hearts, each student challenged themselves to complete as many laps of the field as they could. Cheered on by their peers and teachers, the runners kept their energy high and their commitment strong, showing real perseverance and teamwork throughout the event. Some teachers even joined the efforts!
The sponsored run was not only a physical challenge, but also a powerful example of empathy in action. Students had learned about A21’s mission and were motivated to support the charity’s efforts to help people escape exploitation and rebuild their lives. Many of them took the initiative to talk to family and friends about the cause, helping to spread awareness beyond the school gates.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who donated so generously, and to our students for their enthusiasm and compassion. It was a proud moment for Year 6 and a reminder of the incredible impact young people can make when they come together for a meaningful purpose.
Well done, Year 6—you ran with heart, and for that, we couldn’t be prouder.
