Year 5 did a fantastic job yesterday selling a wide range of items, including toys, games, books, and delicious baked goods. Children and parents from across the Primary School came to browse, shop, and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere throughout the day.
As a year group, Year 5 raised an incredible 117,500 baht — an outstanding achievement! Every baht will go directly to the Cambodian Clean Water Project, helping to fund the construction of new wells. These wells will provide safe, clean drinking water for families who currently don’t have access. This will truly transform lives, supporting not just drinking needs, but also gardening, cooking, washing clothes, and showering.
Year 5 students have raised around 162,000 baht during our sponsored Basketball event.
We explored how charity work is good for the mind and character development during our PSHE lessons. Year 5 have certainly given of themselves through taking part in this event.
Well done.
Thanks for supporting our charity.
We collected nearly 9000 baht which will go to the Baan Dek Foundation.
This year, Year 5 are delighted to be supporting two charities: the Baan Dek Foundation and the Cambodia Clean Water Project.
What is the Cambodia Clean Water Project?
The Cambodia Clean Water Project is a charity project that has been building wells for families in Siem Reap, Cambodia for over ten years. Many rural communities in our neighboring country of Cambodia do not always have access to clean, safe water. As a result, families have little choice but to drink from whatever source is available, such as rivers, lakes, or a canal. Sadly, these unsanitary conditions often cause typhoid, cholera, dysentery, and other preventable diseases.
