As the third week of the term comes to a close, there is much activity relating
to our eagerly awaited and sorely missed residentials for Year 4 - 6. I am
looking forward to joining Y4 in Hua Hin, and to be spending quality time and
experiences with the students and staff.
This will be my first Patana residential and my first since 2019. The
last overnight trip I went on was to Carlingford in County Lough, Ireland with
Year 5 and 6 and it was rather cold!
For this week’s note, I would like to share a quick reminder. Over the
last while, there has been increase in the popularity of smart watches with our
students. Whilst we encourage children to wear a watch to school, to help them
keep track on time and develop independence, many smart watches allow for phone
and message contact, internet access, online games, and other features that
they do not need in school.
If your child does have a smart watch, please take this
opportunity to talk with your child about which functions are appropriate
during the school day and set your child’s smart watch to block games,
messaging and making calls. No
technology is permitted on our residentials.
Thank you for your support

Wellbeing
Air Pollution - Morning Routines
At this time of year we notice a change in the Air Quality in Bangkok.
In the morning before classrooms open when we have the Status:
Caution for All
Year 3 students should come inside and go to their classroom where there will be teachers supervising them safely inside.
Parents are encouraged to drop their children at the doors .
We please kindly ask parents not to come into this space as it may become crowded and full.
Should your child arrive before 7am on any day they should go directly to the Primary Office until duty staff begin to supervise.
Please find the school policy for Air Quality Here

Please ensure any snack or Birthday cakes/doughnuts that come into school are nut free. This is to ensure we are keeping all our students safe as we have some students in the Y3/4 Building who have severe nut allergies. Thank you for your help with this.
