Getting ready for Egypt day!

A note from the Principal

A highlight of my week was joining our Pitee Wai Kru ceremony on Thursday. The culture of respect and compassion in the Primary School is remarkable, and I was proud to see our students living the values of Safe, Curious and Kind through their attitudes and behaviour.

As is common at this time of year, we are seeing some seasonal illness across the Primary, including HFMD and influenza. We work closely with the BMA to monitor absence levels and decide on any necessary protocols or class closures. Please help us keep everyone safe by keeping children at home if they are unwell.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Fun Run on Sunday!

Wellbeing

Positive Behaviours - Positive Attitudes

Toys at playtimes

In Year 3, the children are allowed to bring in a small toy from home to play with. Please ensure your child's toy is named. If they are bringing in Beyblades (which are very popular at the moment) please encourage them to bring in one only. Thanks

Egyptian Day

We are very excited in Y3 to be introducing a new learning theme based around the Egyptians. On Friday 10th October we will have an Egyptian Day at school. You do not need to prepare anything for this day as we will be creating our costumes in our Art lessons leading up to Egyptian day.

Tiger day

Preventing the spread of colds and flu

Please help us to prevent outbreaks of cold or flu as we head into the rainy season.

Children with cold or flu (influenza) symptoms should be kept at home until they are completely recovered.

Even when the main symptoms have gone, your child may still need time to return to full strength.

Please do not send your child back to school too soon, even if they are no longer in the contagious phase.

If your child is still coughing or sneezing, please keep them at home and limit their contact with other children.

A child who has a fever should be kept at home until ‘fever free’ for a minimum of 24 hours.

Influenza is a serious and contagious infection that affects the nose, throat, and respiratory system.

The virus is commonly spread through droplets in the air, allowing infection to spread quickly.

When unsure, always seek medical advice, especially if a child has a chronic condition e.g., asthma.

If Influenza is confirmed, please send a copy of the medical certificate to Nurse@patana.ac.th

Shoes

  • Primary students are expected to wear white socks and plain black shoes to school. Please see examples below

School Jumpers

  • Only the blue Patana school cardigan should be worn at school. These can be purchased at the school shop.
