Friday 4th February - Lunar New Year
We will not be able to have a live whole school Lunar New Year Assembly with Lion Dancing on Friday February 4th, due to our current restrictions. However, we would like to invite the students to celebrate with us by wearing traditional clothes OR red and gold colours) on this day. There will be a special online Y2 assembly and some special activities in class too.

Thank you
During the Christmas Holidays, our Patana School drivers safely delivered all 125 shoe-boxes to the Children of the Forest Charity. Our drivers were met by the Charity Founder, Tom Hopson who collected them in readiness for the Charity’s Annual Christmas Party where the shoe-boxes were given out to the children. There were lots of very happy and excited children.
As you can see from these wonderful photographs, your kindness and generosity has had a real impact on the lives and well-being of so many children. The looks on the children's faces say it all. Year 2 were also given the opportunity to reflect on how it feels to show charity to others and the impact in can have on someone’s life in a special assembly.
Here are some photos of the fabulous bikes that your donations have helped to provide these children too.
A huge thank you for your generosity.
Global citizenship
Did you know that you can send used batteries into school to be properly disposed of? Each classroom has a collection point which is then taken to a central location to be disposed of.
We are also very keen to make use of any materials that you may be able to send in for our junk modelling.
We are looking for lots of junk modelling supplies over the next few weeks, please send in any boxes, yoghurt pots, egg cartons, milk bottles etc THANK YOU!
Birthday celebrations
If you would like to send in some birthday treats for your child to share with their class, please arrange a day with your child's class teacher. We will only be able to manage individual items like brownies, doughnuts or cupcakes. Please remember we are a nut free Primary School. Your child's class teacher will try to get a photo to share with you.
Here are our birthdays for next week. Have a super day!
