Year 1 support Urban Neighbours of Hope
Year 1 have supported Grapongdeang School through Urban Neighbours of Hope since 2015. Built on the site of a rubbish dump, this pre-school offers education for 3-6 years old. Through our year group fundraising we are proud to have supported them install a new roof, change windows and install a soft play room. This year, they are using our donations to build a new, shade covered playground.
Children in Year 1 develop a relationship with their friends at Grapongdeang School through the academic year. From sending welcome letters during Tiger Spirit Day to holding play dates in Term 2 and Term 3, our students learn that children in our nearby community share their values and interests even if their school buildings are very different to ours here at Patana School.
