What's New: Year 3 Newsletter
During our PSHE lessons this week, we have been looking at how we learn. Do you know how we learn? We were talking about NEURONS in the brain and making connections with DENDRITES. We also had a go at making our own brains!

What a marvellous few weeks it has been, with the last of our Y4 - Y6 students returning safely—and very happily—from their Residentials! We were fortunate to enjoy fantastic weather, confirming that the decision to move the dates from February to November was indeed a wise one.
Reading routine are firmly embedded across Y3. The children are enjoying a range of texts this half term, including poetry and stories about Mythical beasts.

What a fantastic week it has been with our Year 4 to Year 6 residentials. These trips are always such a special part of our school calendar, and I am continually amazed by the sense of community they foster. From the meticulous planning by our staff to the teamwork, resilience, and joy displayed by our students, these experiences truly create lasting memories.
Y3 students have been enjoying finding out about where Mythical creatures come from and then finding those countries on a map.

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, we hosted two extremely
informative Parent partnership workshops. The first, hosted by Mr. Dave Walton,
was designed for our new families and covered the topics of Assessment and Reporting
in the Primary school. The second was hosted by Secondary Principal Mr. Matt
Seddon and looked at Language Pathways through to IB and some developments in
the Secondary language program.
Upon popular request, all of our Primary workshops are now recorded and you can
find them on your Parent Dashboard – under Parent Workshops and Presentations:
Sports day!
It was lovely to see the children enjoying showing off their sporting skills on Tuesday. Thank you to all the parents who could come along and support and a huge thanks to all the PE team for organising.

Welcome to Term 1B!
The term has started with an adventure! Over the holidays something mysterious has made its home in our shared area. The children have embraced getting into role and using our imaginations to enjoy the Drama!
