Well-Being

Code of Conduct

Over the next few weeks, your child will come home with a signed copy of the Student Code of Conduct, The Code of Conduct will be the focus of our PSHE sessions for the next two weeks.

Roald Dahl Day in Y3

On Friday 13th September, we will be celebrating our wonderful author, Roald Dahl. Your child is invited to come to school dressed as a character from one of his books if they would like to. We will be offering a range of activities in different classroom to help the student to further appreciate this incredible story-teller. If you would like to assist with the day, please contact your child's class teacher. Activities will range from drama through to crafts and baking.

Learning

Next week our Science Learning will be taking place in the Outdoor Classroom. This is a unique opportunity for the students to learn about plants and the natural world. Your class teacher will contact you by email to let you know the day for your class.

Primary PE

Many thanks to all those students who attended their football lesson with their full kit of football boots, shin pads, long socks. hat and PE kit. If you don’t have any of this kit, please try to buy it before your child’s next football lesson. If your child can take some time to practice putting on their football boots, shin pads and socks (including tying their own laces) that would be very much appreciated.

From the Primary PE team.

Global Citizenship

      The Prostheses Foundation of Thailand

This year Y3 will continue with collecting ring pulls.

This organisation uses the donations to purchase a higher grade, more flexible material made from aluminium and steel to make artificial limbs. This process meets the international standard ISO 10328 for artificial limbs and ensures that the durability of the prosthetic is increased and patient safety is improved.

We will continue to collect the ring pulls throughout term 1. Any that you collect may be given to your class teacher.

Birthdays

Happy Birthday this week goes to:

Pedro 3H, Harry 3J, Glenda 3K and  Jessie and Axel both in 3D.

This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days. Some treats, such as macarons, contain hidden nuts. Please check the ingredients before sending into school.
