Snack Bar

The children are very excited about using their snack cards next week. Please can you ensure your child brings some money to put onto their card on Monday. We will be taking the children to the snack area to top up before playtime. If your child will not be using the snack bar please remember to pack a snack in their bag.

ECAs

ECA block one starts on Monday! As the routines are different in Y3 to help get the students to the correct rooms for ECAs we will be showing them to all the different areas during the day on Monday.

After ECAs for the first few weeks the ECA providers will be escorting the children to the bus parks.

Code of Conduct

This week, your child will come home with a signed copy of the Student Code of Conduct, please go through this document with your child. This copy is for you to keep at home.

Roald Dahl Day in Y3

On Friday 13th September, we will be celebrating our wonderful author, Roald Dahl. Your child is invited to come to school dressed as a character from one of his books if they would like to. We will be offering a range of activities in different classroom to help the student to further appreciate this incredible story-teller. If you would like to assist with the day, please contact your child's class teacher. Activities will range from drama through to crafts and baking.

General Information

Nut free Primary School

For some children, any exposure to nuts is potentially very dangerous and can be life threatening. We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days. Some treats, such as macarons, contain hidden nuts. Please check the ingredients before sending into school. If snacks or birthday treats are found to contain nuts, we will contact you and either dispose of the food safely or ask you to collect and take back home.

Patana Cards and e-purse for Y3

Year 3 – 6 may use their card for the Primary Snack bar at break time. Year 3 will start doing so the week beginning 9th September. Students do not need to use their card for the set lunch programme.
