Timestableathon

This Year, Y3's main fundraising event will be a sponsored timestableathon! On Friday your child will bring home a booklet and a sponsorship form for this. The children will need to choose 3 seperate times tables to learn. Then during assembly time on the 28th April the children will get to have a try and see how many tables they have learnt. The money raised will go to our year 3 charity, Thomas House.

PE Swimming

Year 3 will begin their curriculum swimming lessons in PE, starting week beginning Tuesday 23rd March.

All students will require a Patana or plain black swimming costume or shorts; goggles; swim hat (for all those with shoulder-length hair or longer) and towel. A plain black rash vest / sun protector is also recommended.

The days and times of swimming lessons for each class is below. Please note the new PE activity for the second lesson also

Global Citizenship

Musician of the Month - March

This month, our musician is Evelyn Glennie, a Scottish percussionist and composer who lost her hearing as a young child.

Here is a Youtube playlist with some of the best clips of Evelyn Glennie.

Birthdays

Happy Birthday to the students celebrating their birthdays this coming week:

                                                     Dario 3A

We wish you a super day!

We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:

- Individualised treats (cupcakes, donuts, etc) can be brought in either at the start of the day or the end of the day - teachers will not be able to cut pieces of cake to be given out

- No Nuts! Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.

- No candles

Please liaise directly with your child’s class teacher to inform them if you will be bringing in treats for your child’s birthday.
