Y3 Newsletter 24.04.26

We hope you all had a lovely break and are all refreshed and ready for Term 3!

A note from the Principal

It has been a lovely week in the Primary school and we were very happy to welcome all our students back on Monday for the final term of the academic year. A highlight for me was watching our Beginner Band perform in Wednesday’s Assembly. Thank you to the parents who joined us for that too!

It goes without saying that we are now entering into our hottest time of the year. Please do familiarise yourself with our Heat Management Guideline and Procedure (Heat Management Guideline and Procedure - Bangkok Patana School) so you have an understanding of what activities and events are modified should temperatures rise.

Have a great weekend

Sarah McCormack

Timestableathon

We will be having our 'Timestableathon' on Wednesday 20th May. A letter with more information about this was sent home with your child this week. Please also scan the QR code for a video about this from the student council.

Grief, Loss and bereavement

In four weeks' time, our teachers will deliver three lessons on loss, grief, and bereavement as part of our Well-being (PSHE) curriculum.

Grief and loss are part of our lives, and so it is important to provide children with the skills they need to manage difficult feelings, to understand grief and to be able to support others. All materials will be very carefully chosen, and age appropriate.

Most importantly, if your child has experienced a significant loss or bereavement, recently or in the past, or if there is a family member or friend who is seriously ill, please contact your child’s class teacher. We can discuss with you whether it is appropriate for them to be in the lesson and be prepared to give them any additional support they may need.
