Sharing of snacks after school - Please can we remind parents that the sharing of snacks is not allowed in the primary school, including after school. This is to ensure all our student's are kept safe, as we have a number of students with potentially critical allergies. Many thanks for your support.

Nut free Primary School - For some children, any exposure to nuts is potentially very dangerous and can be life threatening. We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days. Thank you for your understanding.

PE and Jewellery -  A polite reminder that during PE and swimming lessons, all jewellery including watches are removed. The PE staff will keep the items safe and return them to the students at the end of the lesson. Earrings should be removed or covered with tape.

Shiver Me Timbers, it's Pirate Day Friday - 10th January! 

Q: Why don’t pirates shower before they walk the plank?
A: Because they’ll just wash up on shore later.

Q: Why is pirating so addictive?
A: They say once ye lose yer first hand, ye get hooked!

To kick off our Pirate topic, we will be having a dress up day on Friday 10th. We will take part in lots of pirate-y activities, so get ready to walk the plank...arrrrrrr!

ECAs - Please note all ECAs including selective and year-long will not run from December 9 – 13 to allow the whole community to enjoy the Christmas festivities and attend the various events both in school and outside of school. All school buses will revert to 2:30pm. Block 2 ECAs will resume on the first day of school in Term 2 (January 6^th).

Countdown to Dance Extravaganza Begins

Block 3 ECAs mark the start of the journey towards our annual Dance Extravaganza’s in June. Sign-up for Dance and Drama Academy ECAs in Block 3 to be part of the show!

Just like last year we will have a Junior Dance Extravaganza and a Senior Dance Extravaganza spread over two fantastic nights. Primary students will be involved in the Junior Extravaganza on Monday 8^th of June.

Jazz, Ballet, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Cheerleading or Musical Theatre – there is something for everyone.

This is your chance to perform on stage in front of a an audience in full costume and make-up like a professional dancer. Being involved in a Dance ECA is a great way to stay fit, meet new friends and learn new skills.

Japanese ECA -ECA日本語のご案内
日本人または日本語を母国語とする親を持つ生徒の為のECA日本語が、新学期も引き続き開講されます。外部からの国語教師が授業を担当します。これを機会に子供達の日本語力を高めませんか。詳細はECA登録画面で確認願います。

A Japanese language ECA will be offered for students who are fluent Japanese speakers or those whose parents are Japanese speakers. Japanese teachers (not Patana staff) will lead the ECA and help your child to improve their Japanese. Please refer to the ECA application site for details.

The Young Americans - International School Bangkok will be hosting workshops in music, dance and performance to students from 6 to 18 years old. The workshops are offering by the Young Americans on 25 – 26 January 2020. For more detail, please click here.

Children of the Forest - Thank you to everyone who donated shoes boxes for The Children of the Forest. We know that they are always greatly received. Your donations really do make a difference for these underprivileged children.

A message from the SEC:

Dear Parents

We would like you to think about the environment and our world over the holidays. Please try to recycle all the paper, cardboard and other recyclable waste that you receive over Christmas. If you need to replace batteries, please bring in the old ones after the holidays and recycle them in school. Think also about the gifts you give. Maybe you could give reusable straws (bamboo or metal), a reusable coffee cup or a tote bag to re-use when shopping. You could even give a recycling bin as a gift.

Thank you for thinking about the environment. We wish you a Merry, and green, Christmas!
