Sharing of snacks after school - Please can we remind parents that the sharing of snacks is not allowed in the primary school, including after school. This is to ensure all our student's are kept safe, as we have a number of students with potentially critical allergies. Many thanks for your support.

Nut free Primary School - For some children, any exposure to nuts is potentially very dangerous and can be life threatening. We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days. Thank you for your understanding.

PE and Jewellery -  A polite reminder that during PE and swimming lessons, all jewellery including watches are removed. The PE staff will keep the items safe and return them to the students at the end of the lesson. Earrings should be removed or covered with tape.

Learning

ECAs - Please note all ECAs including selective and year-long will not run from December 9 – 13 to allow the whole community to enjoy the Christmas festivities and attend the various events both in school and outside of school. All school buses will revert to 2:30pm. Block 2 ECAs will resume on the first day of school in Term 2 (January 6^th).

Japanese ECA -ECA日本語のご案内
日本人または日本語を母国語とする親を持つ生徒の為のECA日本語が、新学期も引き続き開講されます。外部からの国語教師が授業を担当します。これを機会に子供達の日本語力を高めませんか。詳細はECA登録画面で確認願います。

A Japanese language ECA will be offered for students who are fluent Japanese speakers or those whose parents are Japanese speakers. Japanese teachers (not Patana staff) will lead the ECA and help your child to improve their Japanese. Please refer to the ECA application site for details.

The Young Americans - International School Bangkok will be hosting workshops in music, dance and performance to students from 6 to 18 years old. The workshops are offering by the Young Americans on 25 – 26 January 2020. For more detail, please click here.

Primary Cookbook

Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered a book!

The books are being print and they will be ready to pick up next week (9th December) at the Primary School Office.

I will also be selling them at the Winter Concert on the 11th of December.

Global Citizenship

Dear Y2 Parents,

Every year we encourage Year 2 children to think about how to help others who may not otherwise receive special gifts during our holiday period. This year, we are asking each family to help us by providing a gift for a child currently living at Children of the Forest in Sangkhlaburi. If you would like to contribute, please provide a shoebox with the gifts listed below inside:

Each gift box should include:

• face cloth
• small towel
• bar of soap
• toothbrush &toothpaste
• small pack of pencils
• small pack of colouring pencils
• eraser, sharpener, small notebook
• small pack of sweets.

Please wrap the boxes and put your child’s name and class on the front.

In the interest of fairness we will provide every child with the SAME package of gifts.

Please do not include any extra gifts in the box.

We have found that our Y2 students learn most from this experience if they can also be involved in helping to choose the items. All these items can be purchased in Big C for approximately 350 Baht. Please send your contribution into school by Monday 9^th December.
