Nursery Continuing Student Learning Wednesday 25th August

Say hello to our wonderful Teaching Assistants

Yesterday, we introduced you to Ms Naam and Ms Kat.  Today, we would like you to meet Ms Pa and Ms Mana:

Learning Advice for Parents

As children learn, it is important to add in challenges and value mistakes. Our youngest children often enjoy repeated play; the same activity over and over, the same story again and again. It is also so valuable to allow children to make mistakes and support them to learn from them. Trying again and again is how we all learn.

Learning Focus

Click For Guidance

Yesterday we searched for Spot in the ‘Where’s Spot?' story and you played hide and seek. Today we are going to play the game a little bit differently. We are going to play hide and seek with our toys.

You will need someone to play with and 3 of your toys.

One person will hide the toys (better to keep this in one room), whilst the other is not looking.

Then you can look for the toys.

When you find the toys, it is a great opportunity to support language by talking about where the toys are hidden; Where is Teddy? Teddy is under the table. Where is the dinosaur? The dinosaur is inside the basket etc.

Your child may have the language to do this independently or you could model it for them, it could be in English or it may be in your home language.

Promoting Independence

We are encouraging our children to have an understanding of how to stay healthy by eating a balanced diet.

Can you try something new? I wonder what it tastes like? Does it taste sweet, juicy, spicy or salty?

Active Learning

Ms Gemma is going to show us how to have fun building a tower with our toys at home. I wonder how tall your tower will be? This is a great opportunity to keep on trying and think of ideas to make it taller and stronger.

Story Time

For today’s story time Ms Jane is reading Pete the Cat.

I love my white shoes..... Can you join in with the song?

We Love to See Your Learning!

We really love to see videos and photos of what you have been doing at home.  The best way to share this with us is via the Seesaw App.  You should have received communication about how to download and login to the app.  If you have not received this, please email the ISIT helpdesk- helpdesk@patana.ac.th

Resource Packs

If you have picked up your child's resource pack, they may already be very excited to explore what's inside.  Whilst there may be times that we encourage the use of certain resources, we would love for your child to have access to these, whenever they wish.  Below are some ideas about how you can enhance this learning.

Home-School Communication

We hope that you enjoy engaging with our Nursery Blog.

If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher via email. They can then arrange a mutually convenient time to meet via MS Teams. Our class teachers always welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and progress.
