Ramps and Racing
Our nursery children are curious, they like to explore and find out new things. Today we are going to make ramps and see what happens when we race our cars and trucks down them. Here are some ideas; This activity teaches us about cause and effect and a simplified idea of gravity and forces. There is the opportunity for lots of Maths language and problem solving too.
You might try different heights and lengths of ramps or different cars. Ask your child to predict what will happen. Which car will be fastest? Which one will go the furthest? What happens if……?
Promoting Independence
No Hat, No Play!
We wear our hats when we are playing outside.
Active Learning
Run and Kick Game
Set up four soft toys in a square shape. Place a washing basket in the middle. Can you move to each toy in a different way? For example jumping and hopping. When you reach the toy, try your very best to throw it into the basket. Don’t worry if you miss, try again!

We Love to See Your Learning!
What could you share on Seesaw today?
We would love to see how your child explores ramps and what the observe and think! I wonder how they found Ms Gemma's run and kick game? We would love to see a video of them on the move!
You are not limited to the ideas on the blog. Perhaps your child has displayed a skill for the first time, such as putting on their socks, or riding a bike? We love sharing these kind of experiences and achievements too!
