Celebration Video
It has been wonderful to welcome our students back to school this week. Take a look at our fabulous start to life on campus:
Learning Focus
Sound Discrimination
Learning to read comes from having a multitude of skills! One of the first and very important skills is to be able to hear the letter sounds and to be able to tell which sound it is. This is called sound discrimination. The earliest stage of development for our young children is when they turn their heads to a sound they recognise, like mummy or daddy’s voice. As they grow older, we can see children stop to listen to a helicopter flying overhead or start to wiggle and dance to a favourite song. What great listening skills they are showing!
We would like you to have some fun with this sound game! Some of them are a challenge, even Ms Jane and Mrs Carol needed to listen very carefully and sometimes more than once!

We Love to See Your Learning!
What could you share on Seesaw today?
So many learning opportunities today! Please share some of them with us? We love to see all aspects of your child’s development, all of their ‘WOW” moments and all of their excitement and curiosity. How did they manage identifying the transport sounds? Which one was the most familiar to them? Which sound was really hard to work out?

If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher via email. They can then arrange a mutually convenient time to meet via MS Teams. Our class teachers always welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and progress.
