Learning Advice for Parents

Feeling Frustrated

All emotions are part of our human experiences. They are all important to us. However, learning how to deal with our emotions can be a challenge, even when we are grown up!

When we are building it is very easy to become frustrated. Towers always fall down and our creations may not be easy to replicate. By talking about our feelings and acknowledging them it helps us to make good choices. “ I can see how frustrated you are. I like the way that you tried building again’ This is our sign for ‘frustrated’.

Learning Focus

What Makes a Good Home?

I wonder if you would like to try building a home using any media you choose?  This might be wooden blocks or yoghurt pots?  It could be out of cardboard boxes or fabric pieces?

How do you describe your home and who lives there?

Promoting Independence

Tidying Up After Being Creative

Creating is awesome and exciting. But a huge part of creating is knowing that when I finish I have to look after the resources I have used, so that I can use them again. The fabric needs to be folded and put back. Any blocks need to go back where they belong and boxes and cardboard can be recycled and used again!
