Learning Advice for Parents
Learning Focus
Animals and Habitats
Fish and other sea creatures need clean water to live in. Do you have toy animals at home? Can you sort them into where they might like to live?
Do they live on land?
Or do they live in the sea?
Can you make a habitat or home for your animals? Let your child lead the learning, ask them what they think they should use and how they want to make it. Encourage them to build and you the grown up be their helper. Don’t forget to ask them to explain why they have chosen to do things a certain way and that the learning is in the doing or the process rather than just the end result.
If your child is interested in exploring sea creatures further you may like to make some under the sea crafts too;

Saying Good Morning
It is important and polite to say Good morning or Hello when we meet someone. You will have seen in our Small Group Learning Calls that we encourage the children to say Hello to the other children and adults in the call and to say goodbye when we finish. Sometimes we do this with actions as well as words.This is something you can practice with your child ready for school.
Good morning from the Nursery team;
This song teaches us to say Good Morning in different languages;

Colour Run
Let’s play a colour game. Run, hop, skip, jump, crawl or slither to the colour that’s called out. This is a great movement and listening game for you to try today! Have fun.
