Learning Advice for Parents

World Peace Day

The 21st September is the World Peace Day.  Across the week we will be focusing on the meaning of Peace for our Nursery children. Understanding our differences and being aware of others helps our children to develop their personal, social and emotional skills.

Learning Focus

Your Favourite Book

We all like to read different types of books. What kind of books do you have at home?

Do you have story books? Story books can be about real things or we can use our imagination, they can be funny too.

Do you have information books? Information books help us to find out about anything that interests us.

What is your favourite book?

Ms Jane likes to read her book sitting on a comfy chair.

I wonder where you like to read your book?  Do you have a book corner or a den?

Can you share with us why you have chosen this book? You could draw or paint a picture, your grown up could help you to take a photograph or make a video to show us and tell us about your book.

Promoting Independence

Independent Reading

When the children look at books independently, they are learning to turn the pages by themselves and either tell the story using the pictures or recall the story they have heard before. Looking at books with others gives a great opportunity to extend your child’s language either in their home language or in English. It prompts the sharing of ideas and experiences.

Active Learning

Bubble Pop

Let’s play with some bubbles! Can you jump, hop, skip, punch and kick the bubbles in the air? This is a great game to get your body moving, have fun!

Story Time

The Peace Book

Check out our digital bookshelf to listen to your favourite stories from last week again:

We Love to See Your Learning!

We really love to see videos and photos of what you have been doing at home. The best way to share this with us is via the Seesaw App. You should have received communication about how to download and login to the app. If you have not received this, please email the ISIT helpdesk- helpdesk@patana.ac.th

We hope that you enjoy engaging with our Nursery Blog.

If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher via email. They can then arrange a mutually convenient time to meet via MS Teams. Our class teachers always welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and progress.
