Learning Advice for Parents

Cooking together can be a great way to strengthen the relationship between parents and children. Children know they are developing an adult kind of work and they are doing it with their parents, spending time with them.

The communication needed to achieve the different steps of a recipe will benefit language skills too and the ability to express wishes, disagreement or just to ask questions. Therefore, we will create a confidence environment for them. We will also go through a field full of little frustrations since we will manage new challenges and sometimes things just don’t work. A very good way to reinforce self-confidence.

Learning Focus

Create Your Own Pizza Using Your Chosen Media

You could learn to draw a pizza:

Or you could create a craft pizza from paper… We love the different shapes. We think the yellow triangles could be pineapple? And the black circles could be olives?

What about Pizza made from playdough or plasticine?

Be as creative as you like, thinking about the toppings that you like on your pizza.

Promoting Independence

Wearing an Apron

Wearing an apron is a great idea to keep my clothes clean.

I must wear an apron when I play with water, when I am cooking in the mud kitchen, when I enjoy painting or sensory play and when I wash my cup and bowl.

I wonder... Can you can think of other times that you should wear an apron to keep clean?

Active Learning

Let's Make Pizza

We will develop our fine motor skills today by chopping up all the ingredients. You can choose whatever toppings you would like on your pizza. Watch Ms Gemma for some ideas. Enjoy your delicious pizza for lunch today!

Story Time

Pizza Day

In our story today, there is a lot of work to make a pizza from scratch. Kneading the dough and cooking the sauce. But what delicious results!

Check out our digital bookshelf to listen to your favourite stories from last week again:

We Love to See Your Learning!

We really love to see videos and photos of what you have been doing at home. The best way to share this with us is via the Seesaw App. You should have received communication about how to download and login to the app. If you have not received this, please email the ISIT helpdesk- helpdesk@patana.ac.th

Resource Packs

If you have picked up your child's resource pack, they may already be very excited to explore what's inside.  Whilst there may be times that we encourage the use of certain resources, we would love for your child to have access to these, whenever they wish.  Below are some ideas about how you can enhance this learning.

Home-School Communication

We hope that you enjoy engaging with our Nursery Blog.

If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher via email. They can then arrange a mutually convenient time to meet via MS Teams. Our class teachers always welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and progress.
