Learning Task: Today, you are going to edit your speech, practise it and finally record yourself delivering it.

Success Criteria:

Time frame: 1 lesson (40 minutes)
Task:
- Open your writing frame document.
- Respond to any feedback from your teacher.
- Improve at least three pieces of vocabulary.
- Read the success criteria - do you understand each one?
- Watch the videos - can you spot the success criteria in action.
- Perform your speech in front of a mirror or a friend online for feedback.
The following steps are optional:- Record yourself using your laptop camera function.
- Check your performance against the success criteria.
- Pick one thing to improve.

This is an Extension task. Anyone can attempt it. It is completely optional.

Learning task: For those students who would like to challenge themselves, take a look at Miss Hallsworth's persuasive letter.
This is a little different to the speech, but the same features are included.

Warm-Up:
This 4 minute warm-up will certainly get the blood pumping around your body and will get you ready for today's skipping challenges. Watch and follow along with this video here.
Learning Task:
Skipping - Find a clear space and have a go at some of these skipping challenges. Don't forget, if your skipping skills are a little rusty be patient and practice, practice, practice.

On the first day back after the holidays, we will start our new unit of learning called Heartbeat'. You will be making play dough on Monday. For this, you will need the following:
- 2 cups of flour (plain is best, but it doesn't really matter what kind)
- 4 tablespoons of cream of tartar (you can find this in the baking aisle)
- 1 cup of salt
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- some food colouring (any colour)
