Learning

Term 3 Learning - Young Entrepreneurs

Next week things begin to get exciting as the students will begin to form their own businesses and innovate a product. Over the next weeks of term, they will design, make, advertise and then eventually sell their products. Keep reading the newsletter and blogs for updates and also information on what products will be available and how you can purchase them.

All money made through this project will go to charity.

If you are an entrepreneur, and you think you could share some knowledge with our children then we would love to hear from you. Please email dawa@patana.ac.th or doch@patana.ac.th

Football = Patana PE kit, sunhat, water bottle, and football boots required

Gymnastics = Patana PE kit required or Patana leotard allowed.

Musician of the Month

For our final Musician Of the Month of the year, we have chosen a band from Thailand - the Bangkok Paradise Molam Band. They play music that is a mix of traditional Thai alongside blues, folk rock and dub.

Molam is rural music from Isaan, a region in the Northeast of the country. A traditional Molam act features only a singer and a khaen player, which is a bamboo mouth organ.

Global Citizenship

If you would like your child to be aware of world news and events but find it too overwhelming, have a look at Newsround or First News for a more age-appropriate version of current events.

Busking Day - 10th June

General Information

Mosquitos

With the rainy season, comes an unwelcome increase in the mosquito population. Our Buildings and Grounds team continue to spray buildings and outside areas. Please feel free to spray your child before they leave for school or add mosquito repellant patches to their uniform

Healthy Snacks

Children are encouraged to eat a healthy snack at break time and eat a healthy plate of food from the canteen at lunch.

If a snack is brought from home this should be an individual portion and not for sharing with others. Please help us by encouraging your children to bring a healthy nut-free snack.

New school shoes for the new school year

Please add plain black school shoes to your August shopping list.

Shoes should be durable and support the whole foot.

Plain black shoes can be sourced in many shops and department stores in Bangkok.

If your child has to wear other shoes for a specific reason, please let the teacher know.

Birthdays

If you would like to send in some birthday treats for your child to share with their class, please arrange a day with your child's class teacher.

We will only be able to manage individual items like brownies or cupcakes. Please remember we are a nut-free Primary School.

Happy Birthday to these students, who are celebrating this week:

Kayla (4F)
Caden (4R)
