For today’s learning you need to reflect on what we learnt in yesterday’s live Literacy lesson. You are going to use those skills to write a play script.

There are six species of deer that live in the UK. Although the population of deer is expanding, it can be rare to see them, as they like to remain secretive in their woodland homes. Deer have antlers which are made of a bone-like material that regenerates annually.

In this clip, we will see a deer bellowing loudly – what is he trying to say?

Activity -Imagine you are a translations expert who is fluent in deer-speak.

Write down a translation (dialogue :) of what the deer in the video is saying.

Think about the following:

• How do you think the deer is feeling?

• Why do you think he is standing where he is?

• What do you think he is trying to say?
