Y3 Charity Christmas Book Collection
This year for our Christmas Appeal we are hoping that the children will bring in some books to support a charity in Chaing Mai. Thomas House is a small special needs unit that looks after children with a variety of disabilities.
Please can you send in a book from any of these categories:
Thai picture books - so someone can read to the children.
Non fiction Thai books about animals or the world around us.
Activity Books
Anything in the tactile range for a blind child (preferably in Thai).
Please send the books in with your child. In December a member of staff will be delivering them to the children at Thomas House. Thank you!

Music
Musician of the Month
This month we are celebrating the music of Phum Viphurit, a singer/songwriter from Thailand. This month’s musician may be especially exciting because Phum is visiting Patana later this month to talk to Y6 about song writing and being a musician!
Some favourite songs to listen to are:
Phum Viphurit is a 25 year old singer/song-writer based in Bangkok, Thailand. Raised in New Zealand since the age of 9, his love for laid-back music began there and continued into his adulthood as he began writing and releasing music with Rats Records, an independent label based in Bangkok in 2014.
His musical style can be described as a mixture of cultures and colours, portrayed in a mellow, up-beat yet intimate combination. His first LP, Manchild (2017) included the sleeper hit, 'Long Gone' which would launch the beginning of his international career. This was followed by the EP, Bangkok Balter Club (2019) which included Hello, Anxiety and the lead single, Lover Boy, a track that has since gained over 100 million streams on Spotify and Youtube combined.
Touring both in 2018 & 2019, Phum and his travelling bandmates have toured Asia, North America and Europe, playing live houses and halls to festivals such as Summer Sonic (Japan), Tropicália (USA), Westward Music Festival (Canada), Sziget Festival (Hungary), Off Festival (Poland) and many more.
Enjoy!

We wish you a super day!
We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:

- No Nuts! Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.
