A note from the Principal

It seems a long time since I last wrote a Principal’s Note, with half term followed quickly by our two staff CPL days. It is lovely to have Patana Primary back in the full flow of things again.

A highlight for me this week was joining a Year 1 learning walk with some of our new staff, looking at great practice across the year group. I particularly enjoyed hearing the children tell me all about their Kenyan village role play, and everything they had learnt through such an immersive experience which will be captured in their new writing unit.

Next week, I am looking forward to Sports Day. Have a lovely weekend.

Many, if not all, of the behaviours and attitudes we want for our students can be explicitly taught.

Sports Day

We're very excited for our sport's day, next Tuesday, 3rd November. The PE team have been working hard creating a brand new format for the day involving an exciting 'Elements' Theme including all of the children from Y3-Y6. Please make sure children come to school in PE kit, with plenty of water and sunscreen. Parents are most welcome to attend, Y3s first event will be at the 'Water station' so please meet us by the 25metre pool. Children will be doing some games near the water but will not get in, they do NOT, need their swimming kit.
