Y3 Newsletter 02.10.26

Well done Y3 to adapting so well to CSL. Your teachers are all very proud of you!

A note from the Principal

Welcome back! It has been wonderful to have our students and staff back on campus and learning together again.

While school has reopened, we know that some families continue to be affected by the recent flooding. Our thoughts remain with those members of our community as recovery efforts continue. Thank you for the support, patience and resilience shown by our community throughout this period.

Positive Behaviour

As you walk around the school, you are almost certain to spot our Safe – Curious – Kind posters.

Many, if not all, of the behaviours and attitudes we want for our students can be explicitly taught.

Egyptian Day

We are very excited in Y3 to be starting our learning based around the Egyptians. On Thursday 8th October we will have an Egyptian Day at school. You do not need to prepare anything for this day as we will be creating our costumes in our Art lessons leading up to Egyptian day. They just need to wear their PE kit on the day!

Safeguarding presentation for parent volunteers

Dear Primary Parents,

Parent volunteers are a great help in our year groups.

As part of our Student Safeguarding, any parent who may be in direct and regular contact with students is required to complete a three-step process.

  1. Attend a Safeguarding presentation.

The next session is scheduled for Friday 2nd October at 0800 am.

  1. Read and sign the most recently updated Parent Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
  1. Read and sign a Self-Disclosure form confirming that you have never been subject to any investigation with reference to children or young people.

The presentation will be held in the Primary Hall. Please sign up via this link.

We will have hard copies of the Parent Code of Conduct and Self-Declaration Form (attached) ready for you to sign, or you can print and bring with you.

Parent volunteers are required to attend a presentation every two years.

If you attended volunteer training in September 2024 or earlier, please attend this session.

Kind Regards
