Our International Day was fantastic! Thank you to all the PTG and parent volunteers who made it such a fantastic celebration of the Patana spirit.
Did you hear about the 'Shaping Us' National Symposium 2023 on early childhood? The Princess of Wales opened it with a presentation about skills for a happy adulthood. Professor Jack Shonkoff shared new research on early childhood and brain development. Professor Robert Waldinger discussed the importance of social connection. Do check the links to learn more.
After watching these videos and reflecting on our school, I am so proud of how we support our young learners, emphasising positive relationships and putting their growth at the heart of everything we do. Patana is an amazing place to learn and teach!

Thank you to the many parents who attended this workshop.

The key themes were:
- What’s needed for a healthy friendship?
- The skills and language needed to solve friendship problems.
- How to respond to unkind behaviours within a friendship group.
- How to help and support children to resolve friendship problems.
- Knowing when to step in, and when to step back.

This is a gentle reminder that Loi Krathong is on Monday 27th November 2023. We would like to see the children in their Thai traditional dress or Thai costumes on the day.
Public parks around Bangkok are open for the event as well as local community gathering points and temples near or far from the rivers and canals.
