Tiger Spirit Day - How lovely to see our Y3 students working with new friends in Y6. Thank you for sending in donations for our charity!

A note from the Principal

One of my favourite moments each day is greeting students and families at the front gate. It is always such a joy to see the smiles, energy and excitement as everyone arrives for the start of a new day.

However, Wednesday morning was no ordinary day! Instead of the usual uniforms, I was welcomed by a parade of little tigers, all dressed and ready for our much-loved Tiger Spirit Day. This is such a special occasion in our calendar, as it gives us the chance to reflect on what makes our school unique — the values we live by, the community we belong to, and the high expectations and aspirations we set for ourselves.

The day was filled with fun and pride, including a truly Tiger-tastic assembly for our Year 3 to Year 6 students, complete with a teachers-versus-students quiz. I wonder who came out on top!

Have a great and much deserved mid-term break!

Tiger day Chrity Information

In the Primary School, Tiger Spirit Day is our Term 1 annual whole school charity fundraising event. The money raised goes into our Primary Central Fund. Each year, the Central Fund focuses on one of the UN's sustainable development goals to support our wider community and promote the values of sustainability. This year, our focus is SDG:12 Responsible consumption and production. We look forward to working closely with our partner charities to provide more opportunities for circular economies both here at school and our surrounding region.

Preventing the spread of colds and flu

Please help us to prevent outbreaks of cold or flu as we head into the rainy season.

Children with cold or flu (influenza) symptoms should be kept at home until they are completely recovered.

Even when the main symptoms have gone, your child may still need time to return to full strength.

Please do not send your child back to school too soon, even if they are no longer in the contagious phase.

If your child is still coughing or sneezing, please keep them at home and limit their contact with other children.

A child who has a fever should be kept at home until ‘fever free’ for a minimum of 24 hours.

Influenza is a serious and contagious infection that affects the nose, throat, and respiratory system.

The virus is commonly spread through droplets in the air, allowing infection to spread quickly.

When unsure, always seek medical advice, especially if a child has a chronic condition e.g., asthma.

If Influenza is confirmed, please send a copy of the medical certificate to Nurse@patana.ac.th
