Art - Can I mould and shape?

Challenge 1: Follow the instructions for making a batch of coloured salt dough!

Firstly, you will need to prepare your salt dough by following these instructions.

  1. In a large bowl mix salt and flour together.

  2. Gradually stir in water. Mix well until it forms a doughy consistency.

  3. Turn the dough onto the table and knead with your hands until smooth and combined.

  4. Make your creations with the dough.

Challenge 2: Look at the images to inspire your salt dough creations, or come up with your own master piece!

Next step: If it is a hot sunny day, dry your salt dough out in the sun, turning occasionally over overnight. If no sun, speed up the drying process by heating your creations in the oven at 50 degrees C. Remember to turn regularly.
