Please ensure your child has a spare mask with them in their bag. As the weather hots up it is nice to have a clean, dry mask when you need it!
Learning - Once Upon a Time
Dress up day
We will be having a fairy tale dress up day on the final day of term 2. Your child is invited to come to school dressed as a fairy tale character. They could carry a prop from a fairy tale and/or have a costume.
As always, we ask that students are sun safe and have safe shoes on for this dress up day.
Please send in any recycling. We are running very low at the moment and would apprecaite any items you can bring in.
Global Citizenship
Year 1 Charity event - let's learn some spellings!
This year, Y1's main fundraising event will be a sponsored spelling bee. More details on this will follow next week. The children were told about it in this morning's assembly.
Musician of the month
This month, our musician is Evelyn Glennie, a Scottish percussionist and composer who lost her hearing as a young child.
Here is a Youtube playlist with some of the best clips of Evelyn Glennie.

Birthday celebrations are back!
We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:
- Individualised treats (cupcakes, donuts, etc) can be brought in either at the start of the day or the end of the day
- No Nuts!
- Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.
- No candles
- The birthday treats must be individual portions – teachers will not be able to cut pieces of cake to be given out.
Please liaise directly with your child’s class teacher to inform them if you will be bringing in treats for your child’s birthday. Treats can be dropped off before 8:00 and after 2:00.
