Well-being

In our PSHE lessons,  we have been talking lots about the upcoming change of going to Year 2 or moving on to a new school.

To ease anxiety, making the unknown known is so important.  We have visited upstairs and also met up with a Year 2 teacher to ask them any questions that the students had about Year 2.  Please keep the conversations going at home and, if you feel your child is particularly worried, please let their teacher know.

Learning

If you still have any Year 1 resources from CSL, please send them in next week.  Also, please check your shelves for any Year 1 or Library books and send these in as well.

We will not be sending stage readers home next week. Please note that parents can come in and borrow 40 books from the Library for the holidays using their parent account.

Global Citizenship

As part of our Thai Humanities lessons, Year 1 children have been learning about elephants and how people in Thailand are working to protect them from cruelty. We are currently decorating tote bags with important, eye-catching messages to spread awareness of this important topic.

These bags will be available for sale next week. Please pay as you feel for your child's bag. The money raised will once again support our friends in Khlong Toey who are excited for their new roof to be built over the summer. we hope to be able to share photos with you very soon.

From the PTG

Available today at the Tiger Shop is this cool craft (DIY Tie-Dye Butterfly pin) developed by Y10 students as part of their CAS project: Development of a Socially Responsible Product.

50% of the proceeds go to support local charities (Fatima Home, Bangkok).

Get it today for 299 THB.

General Information

Lots of information about our day-to-day organisation can be found in the Welcome to Year 1 booklet.  Most of this information is still relevant,  even with necessary COVID measures in place.

Birthday Treats

Children may bring in a special treat to share with the class. Unfortunately, parents cannot come in to celebrate with their child. The class teachers will do their best to send you a photograph.

Please contact the class teacher to arrange a suitable time.

• Brownies and cupcakes are easier for your child to give out.

As school policy, the staff will not be able to help give out party bags or other gifts either for birthdays or on other special celebration days.

We have lots of birthdays in the last week of term and over the holidays.  Have an awesome day!
