BPS win GOLD in BISAC U19 singles event 2017

A fantastic weekend of tennis for BPS !!

A total of 16 Girls played the BISAC U19 event at Harrow. The event was divided into two categories, an A draw and B draw.  Five Patana girls progressed to the Quarter Final stages in the B draw with Sri going all the way winning gold and Adelia winning bronze. Six Patana Girls made the Quarter Finals in the A draw with Rhea and Balloon battling for gold. Balloon dominated the tournament throughout wining the final 6-1 for her second U19 singles medal. Overall a great day out to see all the girls compete and gain more match experience leading up to SEASAC.

In the boys event held at Patana we also had 16 players competing in an event which was split into three categories. Reo in his last BISAC singles event and last major school event held on his home courts made it safely through to the final where he played against Patorn who has upset the form book beating Donald in the semi-final. The match was close throughout and when Patorn reached match point we thought the fairy tale ending was not to be, how wrong we were as Reo roared back to save the match-point and take the match 7-6 and the title. Jonah edged out Donald to take 3rd whilst Denis finished 3rd in the B draw and Nis 3rd in the C draw.
