copyright

noun

The exclusive legal right, given to an originator or creator to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material, and to authorise others to be able to use it.

credit

noun

Public acknowledgment or praise, given or received when a person's action, idea or creation is used.

reference

noun

An acknowledgement of a source of information or image in a book, an article, a report or in your learning!

Credit and copyright explained:

You should always reference the sources your get any information and images from. This is important for 3 main reasons:

1) Anyone reading your learning can see where you got your information and images from and look it up to check your sources if needed.

2) It gives the person or website credit and acknowledgment for the work that they have done that you have used to help you.

3) Anything that you create on the internet is copyrighted to you! You are allowed to use images that others have taken and text that others have written as long as you are not trying to make money from other people's creations. HOWEVER if you use anything from the internet you should reference the website/person who created it.
