Creating an Alien with the Bezier Curve Tool.

The Pen Tool


1. Creating teeth. Make a New Layer and Call it 'Teeth'. Simply click each circle as in the video, then double click to finish the path and turn it into an object.

2. With the Select tool open, click and change the Fill and Stroke so that it's ready to add to your alien later on.

3. Drawing the Antenna. Make a New Layer and Call it 'Antenna'. Here you click each number as before, then using the Node Editor, use shift+click to create a smooth curve. 

4. Make the Left and Right Antennae (either in the same layer or separate. Then, set the stroke width and change the square cap to a rounded cap.

5. The mouth is a solid red shape. Make a New Layer and Call it 'Mouth'. The shape needs different Bezier Handles both smooth and sharp.

6. Make a New Layer and Call it 'Alien' and COPY all the new shapes to the Alien Layer. 

7. Make it look like the Alien on the iPad.
