Learning Advice for Parents

Understanding the World

We encourage children of this age to take an interest in the world by practically engaging with the environment and objects around them. Give them a chance to explain their observations and thinking around why they think things are the way they are, or why different events happen. Let them wonder, imagine and explore.

Learning Focus

Rain

We are in the wet season at the moment and it rains nearly every day in Thailand. Rain keeps our rivers, lakes and waterfalls full.

Rain can be useful to help plants to grow and to give wild animals water to drink. It can also be used to create electricity or hydro power;

Rain can be fun too;

Today you may want to find out some more information about rain and where the water goes. Remember to follow your child’s interests. You could look in books, ask a grown up or search on the internet with help from your grown up.

See how Ms Jane made weather bottles;

Here are some rain songs and music;

We look forward to hearing what you have learned!

Waiting and Taking Turns

How are you getting on with waiting and taking turns?  Do you use timers in your home?  Or perhaps something else?  Can you take in turns when playing games with your brother or sister, Mummy or Daddy or Nanny?

We Love to See Your Learning!

What could you share on Seesaw today?

We would love to see videos or photos of your child exploring water.  Perhaps they found some puddles to jump in?

You are not limited to the ideas on the blog.  Perhaps your child has displayed a skill for the first time, such as putting on their socks, or riding a bike?  We love sharing these kind of experiences and achievements too!
