Nursery Continuing Student Learning Friday 3rd September

Celebration Videos

Wow! What a wonderful week of learning we have had in Nursery.  Take a look at what all our friends have been up to!

Learning Advice for Parents

We aim to teach our children that they are all special and unique. Every child has unique character strengths and abilities that allow them to express their individuality in a social environment. It is what makes them "special."

Learning Focus

Today we would like to find out more about you and your family and the people who are important to you.

See if you can find a family photo and encourage your child to talk about who is who. You may have already started a page in your ‘Me and my world’ book from your learning pack if not you could make a start.

Tell us about who else lives in your house? Do you have any helpers? Or any pets?

What are your favourite things to play or do?

Do you have a favourite colour? Or some favourite music or dressing up outfits?

We would love to find out all about you. Please share on Seesaw your photos and videos of you telling us about you or pictures of your ‘Me and my world’ book.

Take a look at some of the conversations that can be sparked between students by sharing pictures of their family and interests:

Promoting Independence

Wearing a mask

Here are our Nursery team wearing their masks;

I wonder if you can recognise who they are? I can tell that they are all smiling underneath their masks.

When we are in school we have to wear masks to keep ourselves and others safe. Your child may be used to wearing a mask away from their house or they may not.

Active Learning

Kicking a ball with Ms Gemma

Let's do some kicking today!  Have a go at kicking the ball into the goal.  How many goals can you get?

Story Time

Marvelous Me read by Ms Carol!

Children often enjoy listening to stories several times. They may like to join in with the repeated refrains, or look at the pictures. Our digital bookshelf below gives you access to the five stories that we read last week. Simply click on the picture of your chosen story and it will redirect you to the video of one of our teachers or TAs reading it. Page 1 is the stories read in English. If your child would like to listen to the story in Thai, head to page 2!

We Love to See Your Learning!

We really love to see videos and photos of what you have been doing at home. The best way to share this with us is via the Seesaw App. You should have received communication about how to download and login to the app. If you have not received this, please email the ISIT helpdesk- helpdesk@patana.ac.th

Resource Packs

If you have picked up your child's resource pack, they may already be very excited to explore what's inside.  Whilst there may be times that we encourage the use of certain resources, we would love for your child to have access to these, whenever they wish.  Below are some ideas about how you can enhance this learning.

Home-School Communication

We hope that you enjoy engaging with our Nursery Blog.

If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher via email. They can then arrange a mutually convenient time to meet via MS Teams. Our class teachers always welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and progress.
