Celebration Video
What a brilliant half term we have had in Nursery. Whilst learning online would not be our first choice, we are so proud of our wonderful students and the start they have made to their Patana learning journey.
Learning Advice for Parents
When children follow their own interests they are excited to find out new things. Effective learners show curiosity about objects, events and people and use their senses to explore the world around them.

What is wind?
Wind is moving air, it can be gentle and slow like a breeze or it can be strong and fast like a gale.

Gentle

Strong
We can feel the wind when it blows on our faces or through our hair.
We can’t see it. But we can see when it moves things. Here are some of the things that move with the wind;
I wonder if you can think of something else that is moved by the wind?
Here we can learn how to make a parachute with Ms Mana;
How does your parachute fly? Is it different inside compared to outside?
Promoting Independence
Getting Messy and Wet- A Change of Clothes
When we are at school we have lots of fun getting wet and messy. It is important that your child has spare school clothes in their bag so that they can change their clothes if they need to. We will always help and support your child but also want to encourage them to be independent and responsible for their own things. Naming all of their nursery clothes is important, it helps if there is a picture too that helps them to identify what belongs to them until they can recognise their own name.

We Love to See Your Learning!
What could you share on Seesaw today?
We would love to see videos or photos of your child exploring the wind. Perhaps they make a parachute? Maybe they tried some yoga?
You are not limited to the ideas on the blog. Perhaps your child has displayed a skill for the first time, such as putting on their socks, or riding a bike? We love sharing these kind of experiences and achievements too!

If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher via email. They can then arrange a mutually convenient time to meet via MS Teams. Our class teachers always welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and progress.
