Well-Being
PSHE in Year 6: Well-being indicators
This year, we are focusing on developing student Well-being in order to improve learning outcomes.
One aspect of Well-being that we have discussed with our Year 6 students this week is their bedtime routine, and how many hours of sleep they are getting each night. For your information, currently in Year 6, we have some students going to bed at 7:30pm and some going at 11:30pm. Please support us in continuing to emphasis that 'a good night's sleep equates to a good day's learning'.
Here are some of the areas of Well-being that we will be looking at over the year.
Primary Students: No mobile phones or
smart-watches
Primary students are not allowed mobile phones or smart-watches whilst in school or on school transport. Our Primary Office staff will help if your child needs to get a message to you, and we will always contact you if there is a problem. There is no need for a child to have access to a phone or to message or text during the school day.
If for some reason you think that your child may need a mobile phone in school (sleepover, change in plans etc), please contact your child's class teacher to discuss this.
Patana ECAs
Block 1 ECAs will start on the 9th September.
