Well-being

Transition to Secondary

This week our Year 6 Students have enjoyed spending more time in some of our Secondary School Faculties. This is as part of our transition plan, but it is also a wonderful opportunity for all students (including those leaving us) to experience learning in different environments. Students have all experienced breaktimes (the smoothie bar was a highlight!) Next week all of our classes will have had a secondary school canteen lunch, and will have completed their visits over in the Secondary School.

Year 6 Sponsorship Event

Thank you in advance for your continued support of our students and the charitable contributions made towards this worthy cause.

Learning

PE Learning

Please see PE  activities for  the rest of this term for each class below:

Home Learning and Class Blogs

Home learning is set every Friday on the class blogs - students are expected to complete their home learning by  Wednesday of the following week.

Here is the link directly to the Year 6 blogs.

Global Citizenship

Home languages

We will be launching the Home Language Labs next academic year in Korean, French, Japanese and Mandarin. This presentation will give us the opportunity to provide you with information regarding the importance of developing Home Language(s) and to show you what the Language Labs will look like for your child(ren).

We will have a 5-minute Q&A at the end of the presentation, should you have any questions.

Here is the link to register for attendance: https://forms.gle/9nakqcwuMt7pAGLR7

Please reply by Wednesday 8th June.

Events around the world

You can keep up to date with current events around the world by watching Newsround, an age appropriate news show. Being aware of current events will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class, and it is an ideal opportunity for you to model discussing your opinions and using experiences to draw connections between events and people.
