Well Being
Digital Citizenship reminders
Please continue to have these conversations with your child.
On the buses
Just a reminder: students are still expected to keep their masks on whilst journeying on the school buses. They can take a drink of water, but they should not be eating snacks. These guidelines are in line with the government recommendations. Thank you for your support.
Smart Watches
Many students in Year 5 are wearing Smart Watches. Just to clarify, students can wear these; however, they must be switched to Student Mode whilst in school.
New option to drop off children at Gate 3/4 - between FS and Year 3/4 building
After dropping off your child/ren, please keep driving in the same direction.
You will exit through the back of the school, passing the Sports Hall and exiting on Bangna Trat Soi 16.
There is no option to U-Turn or to park.
Any vehicle using this route must have a BPS car sticker, available from Reception.
Please observe the 20 km hour speed limit.

Global Citizenship
Events in the World
If you would like your child to be aware of world news and events but find it too overwhelming, have a look at Newsround for a more age appropriate version of current events.
You can also access First News and The Week along with a wide selection of other magazines in our Primary Library. Being aware of current events really will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class.

Loi Krathong - Friday 30th October
Students are invited to come to school dressed in traditional dress on this day. If you need some guidance on where to find a Thai outfit for this, you can shop online at Shopee children Thai costume. If you prefer to look for things in person, Pratunam area , Tesco, Big C or small shops at local markets are worth exploring.
Learning

Birthdays
Happy Birthday to the following students who are celebrating their birthday this week
Name | Class | Date |
---|---|---|
William | 5A | 12th October |
Clive | 5W | 12th October |
We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:
- Individualised treats (cupcakes, donuts, etc) can be brought in either at the start of the day or the end of the day
- No Nuts! Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.
· No candles
· The birthday treats must be individual portions – teachers will not be able to cut pieces of cake to be given out.
Please liaise directly with your child’s class teacher to inform them if you will be bringing in treats for your child’s birthday.
General Information
School Shoes
As part of their Patana school uniform, our students wear plain black shoes with no coloured trim.
If your child is still coming to school in coloured trainers, please purchase plain black school shoes over the half term break.
Shoes should support healthy foot growth.
All shoes require at least a strap to keep the shoe firmly in place. No ballet pumps.
Children can wear lace-ups if they can tie up their laces independently.
Plain black school shoes can be sourced in many shops and department stores.
If your child has to wear other shoes for a specific reason, please let us know.
These photographs are all examples of suitable plain black shoes.
Lost Property
Parents and children are encouraged to search lost property before purchasing replacement items.
Please visit https://patana.fireflycloud.asia/community-events/lost-property/current-lost-property or scan the code and log in.
Temporary Guardianship Form - let us know if both parents are going away and leaving a student with a friend, nanny or a maid.
