Year 5 Newsletter 8th March

8 March 2024

A note from the Principal

This week, we thoroughly enjoyed our World Book Day celebrations, with a range of activities across the whole school. I was lucky enough to be the ‘Mystery Reader’ for Year 4 and we got to enjoy one of my favourite story books ‘The Wonky Donkey.’ Yeee haaa!

On Tuesday, I spent a wonderful 90 minutes with our parents for a parent partnership workshop looking at homework. If you could like to view the slides, they are here. Please do continue to attend our workshops, they are full of diverse and lively topics and we love to see you involved.

Good luck to 3F, 3G, 3D and 3M who are off on Residential next week!

Book donations

It was lovely to see our Year 5 students reading to our younger students on World Book Day, and enjoying time in class for some extra quiet reading time.

It is not too late for families to donate a brand-new children’s book (Thai Language Please) which will passed to one of our charities.

If you wish to donate a book, your child should hand it to their class teacher during the month of March.
