Learning

PE - Monday 10th January – Friday 21st January

During the first 2 weeks back after the Christmas holidays, students will take part in “Try a New Sport“ weeks, where they will be able to choose from a range of activities that they may not have tried before.

Please can all students wear PE kit to school as usual (including hat and water bottle) and bring swim kit just in case they want to choose a water-based activity.

From Monday 24th January:

Important note! All students will require Football boots for their Teeball lesson. Please ensure you have correct fitting boots before their first Teeball lesson.

Dance and Mini Tennis activities require Patana PE kit and water bottle. Teeball also requires football boots .

Home Learning and Class Blogs - there is no home learning over the holidays

Remember that your child's home learning has been shared via their class blog.

Global Citizenship

Events In The World

If you would like your child to be aware of world news and events but find it too overwhelming, have a look at Newsround for a more age-appropriate version of current events.

You can also access First News and The Week along with a wide selection of other magazines in our Primary Library. Being aware of current events will help your child to make connections with a range of themes when reading in class.

  • Individual treats can be brought into school with your child in the morning.
  • Please agree a time with the teacher in advance.
  • Children will be expected to eat any birthday treats in their classroom.
  • Unfortunately, parents can not join in the celebrations.
  • Your child's class teacher will however share a photograph with you.
