Learning

Term 1A

Please visit our Curriculum Pages for more information about learning in Year 4.

Science

Over the coming weeks the students will begin to learn about the effects of chocolate on our bodies.

As part of this learning they will explore teeth and become student dentists. For this lesson the students will need to bring a toothbrush and toothpaste from home.

Class teachers will contact parents, via email, to share the date of when this lesson will take place.

PE - End of unit Inter-class basketball matches

As part of our Covid response, we are not inviting parents in to school for any PE lessons and inter-class matches.

We are very appreciative that our Patana parents understand and continue to support these measures.

Primary Music

The Primary Music Department are very excited to announce the first ever “Primary Performance Week” will be happening from 6th-16th October.

Anyone who is learning a musical instrument will be able to sign up to perform in the new shared performance space in front of a small audience. The event will happen during the normally timetabled music lesson and children can sign up with their music teacher in the next couple of weeks.

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to share their talents, build confidence and perform in front of a small, supportive audience. Although we are not able to welcome parents to these events at this time, we will be recording performances and will be able to share these with you.

Should you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Mr Charlie chmc@patana.ac.th

General Information

Birthdays

We are now able to celebrate the children’s birthdays with them, as long as we follow these requirements:

- Individualised treats (cupcakes, donuts, etc) can be brought in either at the start of the day or the end of the day

- No Nuts! Please ensure that any food items sent in do not contain nuts, or any traces of nuts. Please check the ingredients.

- No candles

- The birthday treats must be individual portions – teachers will not be able to cut pieces of cake to be given out

Please liaise directly with your child’s class teacher to inform them if you will be bringing in treats for your child’s birthday.
