Well-being
It's been an incredible start to the new school year. The children have come in so enthusiastically into their new year group and classes.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new students and their families. We look forward to getting to know you and helping you become part of our caring community.
Masks
Please ensure your child carries a spare mask in their bag. They are easily lost or misplaced and it is essential that these are worn at all times.
Morning Snacks in Key Stage 2
Year 4 students can use the Snack-bar at break times to buy or snack or alternatively they can bring a healthy snack from home.
Snacks should be an individual portion as we encourage students not to share with friends due to current restrictions.
Students should also bring their own water bottle to school everyday.
Learning
Term 1A
We will be getting to know the children over the next two weeks through the PSHE theme of ‘Being Me in My World’. Our main focus will be settling the children into their new class and encouraging them to our explore and develop new friendships.
Later in the term we will start our learning theme of 'Chocolate'.
For more information please visit our Curriculum Pages
Meet the teacher presentations
Due to current restrictions the presentations will be completed online this year.
Class teachers will share their presentations via the class blogs, after school, on Wednesday the 26th of August.

Love of Reading
In Year 4 we love to read. Your child will have a chance this week to visit the library and choose a reading book. They will also bring home a reading journal, in which they can record what they have read.
PE
This week the children have met their new PE teachers to familiarise them with changing rooms and facilities etc. For next week please follow the timetable for your child's class.
PE KIT:
Basketball lessons require Patana PE kit; water bottle and PE shoes.
Swimming lessons require black or Patana swim kit, swimhat, goggles and towel. Long sleeved rash vest / suit optional.
General Information
The following students are celebrating their birthdays this week:
Isabel (4A)
Hugo (4C)

School shoes
Students wear black shoes that support the whole foot and allow them to be active. School shoes require at least a thick strap to keep the shoe firmly in place. Children can wear lace-ups if they can tie up their laces independently.
