Good Morning Year Four!

Welcome to our online learning page.

Today is the day to get orientated with online learning. Learning will be added from tomorrow onwards, so please check the blog every day.

You will also find your learning tasks at the bottom of this blog :)

Each day will be set up like a school day with different lessons and break times included.

Sign in to your MS Teams account ( using your Patana login details) and create a sentence, paragraph or image to say hello to your teacher and share something that you did over the holidays

If you have any further questions or need help with anything please email your class teacher or send them a message on MSTeams. Teachers will be available for immediate questions between 7.40 and 9.00am or 12.30 and 1.30 pm, when they are not teaching live.

You can complete your learning in a notebook or using googledocs. Next week, we will share tasks and you can share your learning through Seesaw. Have a great day :)

Using the story starter and picture below, plan and then write a story with at least 3 paragraphs. Your story must include a beginning, middle and end.

If you are stuck for ideas, use the story mountain and questions below to help you.

As part of your Maths learning today, you will learn how to create and play the game countdown ⌚.

Follow the instructions, from the video below, and have a great time playing. It will take you a bit longer today to set up the game by making cards but keep these for future use.

Music - Can I play rhythms on home instruments?

Learning Task: Find sound makers in the home and play rhythms on them

Instructions:

First, look around your house and select one or more sound makers or instruments. They could be tappers (spoons, chopsticks, pens etc), shakers (salt, cornflakes, rice in a box) and/or scrapers (colander or baking tray with something to scrape on it).

Next, watch the Can Can Percussion video. Choose a colour and then play along with the video.

To challenge yourself, choose 2 colours (or more!) and play a different sound for each colour.
